- Joanne Holmes: *She shakes her head* No, Sherlock, you don't learn those feelings, they happen on their own. Please...don't worry. I never expected you to ever feel that way for me. Not in a million years.
- Kenzie: When you first met me, I did not have any friends. The closest I had were Greg and Mrs. Hudson. You were just my acquaintance. And then Something happened. You began being my... my gobetween, for the world. My moral compass, since I seem to be lacking one. You became my friend, and that's more than I could ever have asked for. You were my first friend. All of my life I prided myself on never needing such trivial things but you made me realize how important you are to me. Your last words to me, face to face, before I left you... I've never forgotten them. You said friends protect you. And it's true. I hope I did my part in protecting you, because you protected me. Ever since you stepped into my life, you have been protecting me even if you didn't know it. You said to me, the first time you were at my gravesite, that you owe me so much. I think it's the other way. I think I owe you everything.
