Dear ~people~ (TW: Suicide)
Please please PLEASE stop writing long tumblr headline posts about our mother’s coming into our room at 7:21 in the morning and crying because we committed suicide. Stop writing about the principal announcing, with tears in his eyes, that we’re dead.
Some of us don’t have mothers, some of us know our principal wouldn’t do that, to some of us that is just a trigger because no, that wouldn’t happen, no, our mother abuses us and our father doesn’t give a shit when it isn’t a holiday and we don’t even know our principal’s name. Instead of spreading that, spread something more meaningful.
Spread the numbers to hotlines. Spread support networks. Spread that “we can make it better” message. Spread things that aren’t going to stop some of us in our tracks and go “No, bitch, you don’t know me.”
