You come home.
#oh #oh boy here we go guys #take a seat and buckle up #because i’m about to take y’all on a one-way trip aboard the feels express #because sweet merciful krishna these two just hit me right in the goddamn tender feels so much that i need all of you to share my agony #first off: for all the praise tumblr heaps on to hiddles (rightly so) poor chris gets forgotten often #but poor thor here #he’s damn near close to tears #the firstborn warrior-prince of the goddamn space vikings who fears nothing in the entire known universe #is nearly in tears #is reduced to nothing but an older sibling desperately trying to coax an unruly younger brother out of a tantrum#thor’s used to solving his problems with force and stubbornness and brutality #and all these traits are powerless against loki #he might as well try to force the wind#and speaking of loki #let’s talk about loki #loki silvertongue #loki lie-smith#prince of mischief and trickery #can’t say a damn thing #he can’t even deny his brother #can’t even pretend for a moment that it’s not what he wants #he’s so conflicted and unsure every time his and thor’s desires align because isn’t thor supposed to be his enemy now? #didn’t he renounce his home? #his family?#wasn’t that the point? #how could they possibly want the same thing? #and it’s very telling of loki’s youngest-son-complex #my stupid older brother #he says
Fuck this shit.
I’m out.
*throws hands up*
All those subtle little movements they both make. Loki’s attempt to laugh it off dies quicker than he’d hoped. It almost looks like he wants to say “Yes”, but then he remembers he can’t. And Thor is so close to just breaking down in tears. You can see it.
UGH. FEEEEEELS.

“Thank you for believing in us, even when we didn’t believe in ourselves.”
Why are you trying to make me cry…? And why I’m crying…? D’:
I have to say during the Shawarma scene I wish Loki was there. Just sitting next to Thor with the handcuffs and gag on. A plate of food in front of him, because you know Thor is nice and wants to make sure his brother gets some too. Loki just staring from the food to Thor like, ‘bitch, how am I supposed to eat that with a gag on?’.

The Avengers in 4 pictures. XD
I like this logic. This logic prevents me from being completely and utterly furious and allows me to still love Loki. Actually I don’t think it’s possible not to love Loki at this point. Like I tried it and like…There was this weird pain in my chest and I felt like half the internet had disowned me.first off SPOILERS
(click for big) You know, the more I think about these two, the sadder it seems to me. For Hawkeye, obviously, because being mind-controlled sucks and is traumatizing, but also kind of for Loki, because he just like, steals himself a friend? Loki seems completely incapable of actually making friends for himself. Even before he was evil, on Asgard, Thor was the only person who seemed to halfway want him around, and made his friends just kind of tolerate him.
Anyway, I took these sad thoughts and turned them into a doofy comic, as usual.
I think it’s interesting that in the movie, even though we refer to it as “mind control” it’s actually more like “heart control.” Throughout the entire ordeal Loki’s slaves are in their right mind, using their specialties just as they would if they were sane, thinking and reacting and being creative on the fly. The only thing that’s changed is how they feel about Loki, and that’s what makes them so much more effective than if he spent the movie directly controlling them. At one point Loki even says, Tell me what you need, as if taking advice from a trusted soldier.
I find it all very
feelsworthyfascinating.
